What's
Your Story?
by Susan Russo
"Things
do not change, we change." -Henry David Thoreau
What's the story you repeat to everyone about your life or your situation?
It's the same story you tell yourself over and over about why things are the way they are in your life. It really doesn't
matter what the story is, except for the fact that it's what keeps you stuck.
Whatever we predominantly focus on is what we will ultimately experience. If you are constantly talking
about your life's situation, coming from a negative, whoa-is-me perspective, you will attract more of it into your life.
On the other hand, if you learn how to shift your thoughts away from what you don't want, to thoughts
of how you would like to live your life, you will begin attracting more love, money, health or whatever you long to experience.
Begin to picture your life as you want it to be, as if you've already attained your desires. Let go of
the moaning about, complaining and re-living unwanted experiences. Use how you are feeling to indicate whether you are thinking
on the right or wrong path.
If you think thoughts of anger, hate, frustration, revenge, fear, doubt etc., how do you expect
to feel? If you think thoughts of goodness, love, how you dream of living your life and all of the things that you are grateful
for, you will start attracting more goodness into your life.
Wherever you are right now in your life is a result of what you've been thinking and telling yourself
in the past. You can start from right here, right now and begin to create a new life by what you tell yourself.
What most
people don't understand is that even if you don't understand how the Law of Attraction works, it is still working in your
life nonetheless. So if the truth is, that what you talk about and think about is how you will experience your life then
perhaps it's time to change your story.
Remember, you can look at someone's life and you can tell what they think about by their circumstances.
So begin to create a new experience and leave the past behind.
Warm wishes…Susan
