What
is Your Outlook? Look In

What's your outlook on life? How do
you view the different circumstances that arise
in life? Is your view negative or positive? Do
you come from a position of fear or faith? Worry
or hope? Or do you come from a position with a
belief in a good outcome and knowing deep down
that everything will always work out for the best?
If you could look inside your
mind you would be able to see what paints your
view without.
Your mind can be a dark place
filled with worry, fear, frustration, anxiety,
hate, bitterness, resentment etc. And those kinds
of thoughts, emotions and feelings are where your
outlook begins to take form. Your inside belief
system will color and shape everything you do
and how you choose to view life.
People open their
eyes each morning and begin to view outside events,
people and life in general filtered by this "belief" foundation
which is where their attitude towards everything
originates.
Some people just seem to have
a bad attitude or are miserable, mean, depressed,
rude or whatever and the irony is they have a
choice. If the reality is that we choose our thoughts,
then why would someone choose to view things from
the dark side when within them lies the same opportunity
to choose thoughts that will make the world a
brighter place to live in.
Oh, I know it sounds
cliche & cute; and you've heard it all before
but the truth is you may have heard it before
but you've chosen not to heed the advice. You
may even choose to believe that you can't change
your attitude or perspective and that's just the
way it is.
Well, whatever you believe
you're right!
You can talk yourself in or
out of anything. You can rationalize and justify
all day long, all life long and do nothing to
live a better life. Or, you can begin to realize
that you actually hold the keys within you to
take your life or at least your attitude towards
life in any direction you choose.
There isn't
a human being on this planet that doesn't experience
some kind of adversity at one time or another.
That's life. But, it's not what happens to us
in life that matters the most, because things
are going to happen, its how we CHOOSE to view
what happens to us.
Your outlook can be one that
will strengthen your character or one that will
make you crumble. Your outlook will determine
whether you are a victim or a survivor. Your outlook
will color every word you speak and every emotion
you experience. Your outlook will determine if
you're going to have a good day or a bad day.
Your outlook is your choice!
The most difficult
thing for people to grasp is that they actually
have control over their thoughts. Their thought
life is a direct reflection of how they live life.
So if that is true, it's up to you to choose your
view.
Look within yourself and see
if your mind is filled with light, peace, gratitude
etc. See if you anticipate good or do you expect
to see a negative outcome? Do you choose the kinds
of thoughts that will support you or tear you
apart? Are you happy or sad?
It is up to you to
either keep the view you have or change your view
to one that will bring you closer to living with
a great outlook on life.
Warm wishes…Susan
